Based on an inspiring true story, "Save the Cinema" follows Liz Evans, a hairdresser from Carmarthen, Wales, who rallies her community to save their beloved local cinema from demolition. Faced with indifference and powerful forces, Liz embarks on an extraordinary fundraising campaign, even enlisting the help of Hollywood stars. A heartwarming and uplifting tale about the power of community, the magic of movies, and one woman's unwavering determination to make a difference.
Entrance £5 includes tea/coffee & biscuit
11th August - Magic in the Moonlight
Set on the beautiful French Riviera in the 1920s, "Magic in the Moonlight" follows Stanley Crawford, a renowned illusionist determined to expose a young spiritualist, Sophie Baker, as a fraud. However, as Stanley delves deeper into Sophie's world, he finds himself increasingly charmed and bewildered by her apparent abilities, challenging his own strictly rational worldview.
